The International Conference on Medical Education, iMeduCon ‘26 was successfully conducted on the 5th and 6th of February 2026 at A.C.S Medical College and Hospital with the Guest of Honour being the Chairman of the National Medical Council Dr. Abhijat Sheth.

The conference was a grand success as a result of combined efforts of A.C.S Medical College, Sri Lalithambigai Medical College, RajaRajeswari Medical College and Thai Moogambigai Dental College.

The preconference workshops were held at Sri Lalithambigai Medical College and Hospital on the 4th of February 2026. These included Co-creating medical education, Utility of AI in Medical Education, Research Methodology for health care students, Moodle Mastery and AI assisted research writing centering around the theme of the conference.

The conference which took place in A.C.S Medical College and Hospital witnessed participants from more than 10 countries and over 100 medical colleges. The meticulous planning and execution of the conference was evident in the smooth conduct of the scientific presentations from medical students, doctors, faculties and researchers revolving around the theme ‘Redefining Medical Education – Quality, Innovation and AI Technology’. Talks delivered by the distinguished international speakers – Dr.Lyuba Konopasek, Dr. Susie Schofield, Dr. Harm Peters, Dr. Madalena Patricio, Dr. Shabbir Amanullah, Dr. Abhijat Sheth, Dr. Russel D’souza and national speakers-Dr.Vedprakash Mishra, Dr. Mohanan Kunnummal, Dr.S.Geethalakshmi, Dr. Sanjeev Misra, Dr.M.Kavitha and Dr.Kadambari Dharanipragada, offered a diverse perspective to the conference.

Certificates, awards and cash prizes were distributed to all the winners. Overall this international conference highlighted significant advancements in Medical Education and the delegates left with valuable insights which are sure to serve them in the near future. This enriching experience is the first of many such successful conferences to be conducted by SLMCH.
