The Pediatric intensive care unit (PICU) at SLMCH has been set up to serve the children of our community and the families. We offer a wide range of services catering to all age groups including infants, children and adolescents.

We have a dedicated and efficient pediatric intensive care unit that functions 24*7. Our pediatric intensive care unit is a dedicated facility designed to provide advanced and specialized care for critically ill infant, children and adolescents. Our PICU unit is equipped with state of the art infrastructure including mechanical ventilators and defibrillators.

We ensure round the clock care delivered by multidisciplinary team comprising dedicated pediatricintensivist, trained nurses , residents and other health care professionals. Our PICU policy is emphasized on evidence based protocols, patient safety and infection control practices .

Our unit also serves as an opportunity for research in pediatric critical care. We integrate with emergency department, laboratory, radiology and surgical department to ensure the best possible outcomes .
