Fluoroscopy is generally used in patients with swallowing difficulties to assess the oesophagus, those undergoing cardiovascular procedures like angiography, orthopaedic procedures like fracture reductions, urological procedures done for suspected blockages like intestinal or urinary tract obstructions and for guiding injections for pain management during nerve blocks or epidural injections.
