The Department of Radiology at SLMCH is a comprehensive, technology-driven imaging centre providing high-quality diagnostic services essential for modern medical care. With advanced multimodality imaging systems, subspecialty-trained faculty, and a strong academic framework, the department supports all clinical specialties while offering an excellent training environment for undergraduate and postgraduate medical students.

The department is equipped with state-of-the-art diagnostic systems, enabling precise and timely evaluation across all organ systems. Key facilities include:

192-slice Siemens CT scanner
1.5 Tesla MRI – Siemens Magnetom Sempra
High-end Ultrasound units (Philips Affiniti, SonoScape S40)
Digital Radiography (DR) systems – 2 units
Computed Radiography (CR) – 2 units
Portable X-ray machines – 4 units
DEXA scanning, Mammography, and Fluoroscopy

This extensive infrastructure supports all clinical departments and provides trainees with broad exposure to routine and advanced imaging practices.
