Eye Bank

Sight is one of the most valued human senses allowing people to experience the world in vivid colour and depth. Unfortunately, millions worldwide suffer from corneal blindness — a condition that can often be cured through corneal transplantation.

Corneal transplantation awareness involves educating the public about the importance of donating corneas to help restore vision for people with corneal blindness.

Give the gift of sight – Pledge to donate your eyes.

An eye bank is a nonprofit organization responsible for the collection, preservation, and distribution of donated eye tissue for corneal transplant, research, and education.

In our
SLMCH, we started an eye bank to collect the cornea from donors and plan for corneal transplantation procedures for poor patients. Our institute is recognized by the Government of India and Tamil Nadu.

Join with us, talk to your family, and pledge your eyes. Your decision today can light up someone's world tomorrow. And your eyes are blessed — they continue to see the world after your death.

Be a Hero. Be an eye donor
