The biomedical waste management policy followed at SLMCH is as per the Biomedical Waste Management Rules
- Waste is segregated at the generation site by the persons (doctors, nursing staff, attendants, technicians, etc.) as per the biomedical waste management rules in classified color-coded bags.
- The collection, transportation, and disposal of BMW is outsourced
- Posters regarding segregation item-wise are displayed in each area of the hospital.
